Global School Changemaker Challege Logo

The University of Evansville is proud to host the Global Changemaker Challenge, once again made possible by our generous partners at Toyota. Any high school sophomore, junior, or senior in the world can compete to win a four-year, full tuition scholarship to the University of Evansville by submitting their idea to make the world a better place. The competition will take place virtually on February 18, 2025.

Important Dates

  • Saturday, February 1, 2025 – SUBMISSIONS DUE
  • Friday, February 7, 2025 – Top 20 individual entries announced.
  • Tuesday, February 18, 2025 – Final round and winners announced same day. Save this date in case you are a finalist. Competition will be held in US Central Standard Time.

Eligibility

Ideas can be in any category!

  • Any high school aged rising sophomore, junior, or senior (or the equivalent in your country).
  • From anywhere in the world!

Support

All students will receive access to FREE training and connections to UE faculty and staff who can help. Contact Andrew Carter at ac116@0531-it.com to get connected.

Competition

  • Round 1: Each student submits their pitch through the website by February 1, 2025.
  • Round 2: Top 20 students deliver a five-minute pitch LIVE to judges via Zoom on February 18, 2025. Winners announced that same day in a virtual awards ceremony.

Language

We encourage you to submit your videos and present in English.

Prizes

The winning students who choose UE as their college destination will receive the following scholarships*:

1st place FULL TUITION
2nd place $27,000 SCHOLARSHIP
3rd place $23,000 SCHOLARSHIP

*Students eligible for more than one UE scholarship will receive the one of highest value.
†Students winning first place will not pay any tuition out of pocket for four years. Winners are required to live on campus as part of a cohort, remain consistently enrolled full-time each semester, maintain satisfactory academic progress toward their degree, and display progress toward fulfilling their Changemaker Challenge project goals. UE admission requirements apply.
